In-Q-Tel: working with the CIA

Has Anonymous  gone off the deep end  without a floatation device  with its Operation Endgame (koobface)?

iq It says: “The government invested $50 million into facebook through “intelligence contractor” company In-Q-Tel in 2009. A few months later, koobface emerged. This is the return on investment In-Q-Tel.”

So what does In-Q-Tel do, exactly?

It’s, “focused on new and emerging commercial technologies that have the potential to give the CIA and broader U.S. Intelligence Community (IC) mission-advantage today and in the future,”  it states proudly going on:

“As a strategic partner for the IC we understand complex customer requirements, and we constantly survey the leading edge of the commercial marketplace in order to identify, adapt, and deliver technology solutions to our customers. We currently concentrate our engagements in two broad technology practice areas of interest to our customers:

Leave us not forget“Facebook itself is a virus”,  as the Anonymous post observes.

And it is —  of the data mining variety.

Are Fa$ebook  and the Obama government in cahoots with  each other?  Stranger things have happened and it’s certain Barrack and his Boyz  would have absolutely no qualms  in scooping any and all  private personal information and data  it/they  can get hold of by fair means or foul.

Meanwhile,  “Launched in 1999 as an independent, not-for-profit organization, IQT was created to bridge the gap between the technology needs of the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC) and new advances in commercial technology,” it brags, adding:

“With limited insight into fast-moving private sector innovation, the IC needed a way to find emerging companies, and, more importantly, to work with them. As a private company with deep ties to the commercial world, we attract and build relationships with technology startups outside the reach of the Intelligence Community. In fact, more than 70 percent of the companies that IQT partners with have never before done business with the government.”

Now you know 😉
