Mars, anyone?

You know the upcoming Mars Mission  and how ordinary people can potentially make a trip to  the Red Planet?

Well,  there is a slight drawback.

And you might stand a better chance if you’re not ordinary because  as you might expect, the advice team so far is top heavy with doctors and varying flavours of scientists and professors.

Nary a plumber in the lot! And you know what happens when you really need one?

Anyway, the organisers would like us to completlete a survey which kicks off:

  • If you could ask Mars One or Mars One Advisers one question about our mission, what would it be?

They’d also like to know if, “you have an interest in donating your time and special skills to impact the Mars One mission more directly”?

Sure! I’d like to volunteer as mission historian.

Heh.

No need to stay tuned on that 😉

And as I pointed out last time around, there are other ways; )

Meanwhile, Mars One (http://mars-one.com) says it’s a not-for-profit foundation to establish a human settlement on Mars, “ through the integration of existing, readily available technologies from industry leaders world-wide”.

It’d be a strictly one-way trip, unless you’re able to set up a Hollywood-movies-type-rescue well in advance.

And, you’d better have mucho $$$
