The season of goodwill

Don’t know about you, but I’m getting sick and tired of reading about Obushma, Doug Ford, Steve Harper, Pamela Wallin, and all those other lowlife trough-feeders who are other supposed be representatives of the people. They’re all just as bad as each other, but we put them there, so what do we have to complain about?

Anyway, this blog is about anything and everything and now it’s the season of goodwill, here’s a little story which shows the spirit of Christmas is still strong in some parts.

Due to straightened circumstances, my wife and I had to declare bankruptcy and lost the house we owned. We now live in a trailer park. But it’s not so bad. It’s on Vancouver Island right in the middle of some lush country.

People who live in trailer parks are often thought to be the dregs. That may be the case in some parts, in the rural US, for example, but generally speaking, trailer park inhabitants are just like anyone else.

I just answered my door and found one of my neighbours standing there holding a shopping bag. She wondered if we might find a use for some fresh vegetables.

God may be a myth, but the spirit of goodwill is obviously alive and well.
