Anonymous, immortalised in bronze

Speaking of anonymous, here’s Andrei Stroe ‘s photo of the statue of Statue of Anonymous, author of Gesta Hungarorum, in the Vajdahunyad Castle yard, Budapest, Hungary.

My wife, who’s Hungarian, remembers seeing it in her childhood when she visited the park where the statue  rests.

Gesta Hungarorum means Deeds of the Hungarians, “record of early Hungarian history by an unknown author who describes himself as Anonymi Bele Regis Notarii (‘the anonymous notary of king Bela’, explains the Wikipedia.

Someday, someone will write a history of the deeds of Anonymous 🙂
